This osprey has been painted on to a 1962 paper map featuring Loch Garten, sheet 38.
Loch Garten is renowned for its breeding population of ospreys, which lend Boat of Garten its nickname "The Osprey Village" - unfortunately at the time of writing EJ, the female breeding osprey, hasn't returned to Loch Garten, although over previous years 25 of her chicks have fledged.
