This is a huge map of Cape Mangkalihat in the Indonesian province of East Kalimantan in Borneo. It is a World Aeronautical Chart from 1952. The map features three species from this area - the orangutan, a rhinoceros hornbill and the clouded leopard. If you look closely at the clouded leopard's face you will notice that the perceived colour and shading on the face is actually the colour of the map and the contours. This is a very special piece of artwork that has been framed in a dark brown wooden frame. Overall measurements are: 77 x 60cm
