This one was largely painted whilst my dad was in hospital - in some ways I was reluctant to paint at the time, but when I actually got going I found the detail in all those feathers rather engrossing and very mindful. And I have ended up with a painting that I am really pleased with (which is an added benefit!).
I have called this one Barn Owl Study No 1.  It is painted in oils on a linen canvas and measures 12 x 16". Painted from my own reference photo.
