I live in the UK but was lucky enough to see red cardinals when I visited America last year. I did this painting using Brusho paints and watercolours. I wanted the bird to be camouflaged in spite of its lovely bright colours - I imagined it in a tree full of blossom :) 
The painting has been mounted and framed ready to hang.
